On a ✨tourist✨visa here in Colombia, I can only be in the country for 6 months in a calendar year 👎🏼 . It's bad because I wish I could stay longer but good 👍🏼 because it forces me to try new places and get out of my comfort zone 😍 . After a few cool opportunities arose and some amazing recommendations, I've decided to do my "visa run" to Mexico City ❤ . I'm asking for recommendations of things to do, places to see, and towns to visit near Mexico City 🇲🇽 . Please send them my way! And I'll be back to Medellin in no time – I've heard you can't beat December in this town 🎄 . . . . . #mexicocity #mexicocitytravel #travelmexico #mexican #ijustwanttoeattacos #tacos #mariachi #mexicanfood #travel #needrecommendations #traveler #traveling #travels #travelstyle #travelfar #travelfarandwide #digitalnomads #digitalnomadlife #visarun #overdoseintravel #womenwhoexplore #digitalnomadgirls #theeverygirl #travelhermagic #passionpassport #iamtb #TLpics #dametraveler #lostinlinderland

1. Can you tell me about your ideal reader and your blog?
My ideal reader is anyone that is interested in traveling to Medellin or Colombia and wants to know more about the experience from a woman who has done it. In addition, anyone who feels like they are stuck, or continuing with status quo and needs a little motivation to change paths may benefit from my blog. Hopefully the blog will expand and I will talk about a number of different countries, but it is important for me to focus at this time and talk about where I am living at the moment.
2. What do you think are the main tools that a blogger that should consider?
Learning WordPress, fast internet, computer, organizational skills and sales skills.
3. Do you analyze the results of each publication? How?
I use Google Analytics and check it everyday. I love to know what location and social media channels my readers are coming from.
4. What role do social networks play in your blog? What type of networking do you think is better to enhance your traffic to the blog?
Social networks are a vital part. Every time I complete a post or new content, I am sure to share is across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. I try to vary each platform a bit so I am not repeating the exact same message. In addition, I will repost blogs every few weeks. It is important to know that most blogs can be discussed and reused several time. I also believe in person networking is vital. Talk to everyone about what you do. If they seem interested, ask them to follow you. Everyone has easy access to social media these days. I truly believe the people you meet in person are much more likely to follow your blog and care about what you write, because nothing is better than putting a face to a name.
5. What would be your ideal working environment?
I enjoy quiet when I am working. So my ideal working environment would be in my bright, sunny apartment or a co working space.
6. A lot of people think that blogging is an easy way to make money online, It’s a true? Do you some Steps to monetize a blog to them?
I laugh at this statement. It is far from easy. I have not made any money from my blog. Although, I am only in month 4, so its very possible that changes. However, I have not put up affiliate links, ads, etc quite yet. That is definitely on the agenda for the next month. Right now, I am developing some relationships with potential brand partnerships through Instagram, but even that is still small and has not brought in revenue. I want to be sure I am supporting the right products that I love, and not just making money for the sake of making money.
7. Which business model could be developed through a blog?
There are so many avenues you can explore through blogging. I think you start by being authentic. Take some time to write genuine articles, post real photos and let people find you because they love your content. Network in person. Ask every person you meet to follow you. These turn into your biggest loyalists, because they put a face to the brand and are invested in your success.
8. Finally, Can you name some of your favorite bloggers and explain why they are your favorite?
My good friend started her own jewelry store (www.graceandhudson.com) and I think the way shes developing her business is brilliant. She writes blogs to inform women about ways to take care of their jewelry, how to reuse pieces and match them. She uses her blog to help people, and through that they come across her company and pieces. I love the indirect approach, and love the way she is being authentic to her brand.
